Ideally, my client would like to see former Management Consultants, who have then ventured into an Investment Banking role and delivered on large regulatory / risk programmes.
The programme you will be working on has board-level visibility and is now at the execution stage, so primed for applicants hungry for delivery focused positions.
My client is looking for a very strong individual with a degree (or equivalent) and preferably a Project Management accreditation. You will need to have an in-depth Programme Management background (10+ years). You will ideally have knowledge of European / Americas Dodd Frank and global equivalents of derivatives reporting rules and a strong understanding of derivative trade lifecycle after execution.
As a senior hire you will need to have the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels and have the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders including Front office.
Other key factors:
- Collaborative style with ability to quickly build trust/credibility.
- Advanced understanding of Programme/project management best practices/ methodologies/ project lifecycle.
- Strong delivery focus.
- Ability to “roll up sleeves” and own resolution of “sticky problems”.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excels at conflict management managing delivery in a matrix reporting structure.
- Cross border / multi geography project delivery experience.
- Regulatory Programme delivery.
- Understanding of risk management regulatory demands.
- MS Project.
- MS PowerPoint.
- Preferably SharePoint.
As you are a part of an internal consultancy, the successful candidate will need to convince the business that they will be able to own a project and deliver on-time and to budget. They will screen candidates based of their ability to engage with internal stake holders and are able to support internal sales opportunities.
