We are currently seeking a Director of Business Development to join our TRISUN Victoria Gardens of Frisco team!
SUMMARY
Responsible for leading census development by creating and supporting a strong referral network within the service area and medical community. Ensure successful relationships are maintained with referral sources through providing outstanding customer service and conducting accurate and timely assessments. Performs 80% or more of work outside the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
REFERRAL MANAGEMENT
- Immediately respond to inquiries by confirming receipt of referral and communicating the next step with referral sources
- Utilize Trisun Healthcare Admission Tree to provide ‘on the spot’ acceptance all SNF appropriate patients, in compliance with the facility specific clinical guidelines for ‘Red, Yellow, Green’ determined by Director of Nursing and Administrator.
- Act as communication liaison between referral source and facility to ensure transmission of all necessary clinical and benefit information.
- Complete Prescreening Analysis
- Work with Admission Director to ensure facility is in compliance with the Trisun Healthcare mandatory 1 hour turn around time.
- Remove barriers between facility and referral source to convert referral to admission.
- Educate the potential resident and family member regarding what to expect when transitioning from current care setting to Skilled Nursing, including type of care provided and financial requirements.
- Follow established Trisun Healthcare denial policy
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/MARKET ANALYSIS
- Responsible for developing marketing plan and completing facility specific marketing/competitive analysis in accordance with directives from Regional Marketing Director.
- Develop complete strategy to market to all levels of census builders: Immediate, intermediate and long-term census builders. Build rotation schedule to ensure consistent referral flow and alleviate swings in census.
- Know your facilities programs and clinical services and work with department heads to create educational opportunities for referral source presentations.
- Monitor conversion ratio to identify facility denial trends and opportunities to offer additional services in order to capture new referral sources.
- Markets the facility’s services to the managed care industry.
- Develop key relationships with community leaders build referral alliances.
- Participates in corporate trade shows, health fairs and marketing activities as assigned.
- Prepares competitor reports and market assessments that assist with market evaluation/strategic planning.
REQUIRED FORMS/REPORTS
- Weekly call projections and recap- Submit to Administrator and RMD
- Quarterly Marketing Plan- Submit to Administrator RMD, VPM and RVP.
- Pre-Admission Screening form located on shared network file
- Updated Client Profile
Required Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have basic understanding of sales and marketing process.
- Superior presentation skills- both one-on-one and group.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Public relations experience preferred.
- Must be familiar with medical terminology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Prefer two years experience in healthcare sales/marketing/insurance or admissions.
- Minimum high school diploma, two (2) year or four (4) year degree strongly preferred.
