Director of Corporate Relations recruitment
The Director of Corporate Relations is responsible for the following activities:
- All placement activities of the Bendheim Center for Finance, including counseling, advising and preparing MFIN and PhD students for careers in finance.
- Initiation and maintenance of relationships with principal employers including Wall St. investment banks and commercial banks, insurance companies and money managers.
- Together with the Director and other faculty, selecting and training each incoming MFIN class to be career-ready.
- Managing, strengthening and maintaining the Bendheim Center for Finance Corporate Affiliates program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the career placement efforts of the Center through mentoring of students and networking with recruiting partners and organization of regular speaking events, bringing alumni and corporate partners to campus for leadership and career development events, boot camp, as well as research conferences.
- Organize and execute our weekly industry speaker series and job shadowing visits in partnership with alumni and corporate partners.
- Represent Princeton in partnership with Career Services as well as many other campus groups.
- Oversee and drive communications, including PR, annual report, newsletters, website, events materials and alumni/corporate relations.
- Organize and promote corporate and alumni events, including running of recent 10th anniversary conference and Ben Bernanke lecture, to provide networking and fundraising opportunities for the Center and its graduates.
- Partner with major investment banks, leaders in finance, alumni, students, faculty, and campus partners to raise the visibility of Princeton's Bendheim Center for Finance with existing and potential corporate partners, influential alumni, and government officials (e.g. The Federal Reserve).
- Network with Wall Street and the financial community to drive the fundraising and partnership efforts of our Corporate Affiliates program, resulting in the establishment of new partnerships with Deutsche Bank, Citigroup, UBS, DC Energy, AXA, and Edelman Associates, in addition to existing affiliations with Citadel, Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital and Credit Suisse.
- Travel on behalf of Princeton University to build relationships with potential and existing corporate partners.
- Handle admissions interviews for more than 100 Master in Finance candidates each year and serve as a member of the Admissions committee.
- Serve as a liaison with the Bendheim Center Advisory Council, which is comprised of prominent alumni and senior leaders in finance, engaging them in career support, admissions support and our industry speaker series.
- Position is based in Princeton but candidate should anticipate significant travel to visit various constituencies (alumni and recruiters of our students) in the US and abroad (primarily London and Asia).
Candidate should be energetic, optimistic, well organized, attentive to detail, have outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team.
