Director of Finance and Corporate Services
Hays have be retained to recruit into the role of Director of Finance and Corporate Services for an established charity based in the centre of Glasgow. Reporting the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for leading and managing the development and delivery of the financial and corporate services functions, with particular emphasis on robust financial management and future financial planning. As a member of the senior management team, you will also play a significant role in the corporate management and development of the organisation. Developing the annual strategic finance plan to ensure the organisation has effective financial management, you will ensure the accurate and timely production of monthly and annual statutory accounts, manage the annual budget and keep both the Chief Executive and Board fully aware of the financial status of the organisation advising on any risks and options for resolving these.
You will be qualified accountant with a proven track record in all aspects of financial management coupled with experience of developing and implementing operational plans and budgets. Excellent communication skills are essential to this role as it previous experience of working with senior internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience of managing non-financial functions, negotiating with external funders and exposure to charity SORP would be advantageous but more importantly the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability and desire to undertake new duties and responsibilities.
