Director of Operations recruitment

Serves as a fiduciary and directs the administrative responsibilities of the SC Retirement System Investment Commission (RSIC) in a manner that facilitates the Commission’s objective of seeking superior long-term investment results at a reasonable level of risk. Executes directives from the Commission and collaborates with the Chief Investment Officer to effectively implement the vision, mission and strategic goals of the Commission. Manages the day-to-day non-investment operations to include human resources, public communications, IT, procurement, budget and finance. Creates, develops and manages the RSIC in accordance with the policies and guidelines established by the Commission and in compliance with state and federal laws, and solicits advice and counsel from the Commission as necessary. The position reports directly to the six-member Commission and serves as an at will employee. The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field and 10 years experience in directing complex accounting, banking, investment, finance or executive level management. In addition, candidates must have experience in managing human resources, information technology, procurement and communications.
