POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of the continuous performance improvement is responsible for the coordination of the hospital’s effort on improving the level of care delivered to its patients.  This is done through assessing, planning, facilitating, and evaluation of the CQI efforts.  The main function will be to create an environment supportive of high quality patient care, department head responsibility and accountability and improvement in CQI knowledge through periodic individual and/or group educational efforts.  Participates in the education of new staff by introducing the PDSA (Plan, Do, Study, Act) model.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

PROFESSIONAL:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in a clinical/healthcare related area.Master’s Degree is highly desirable.
2. At least three (3) years progressive clinical experience in the hospital setting.
3. In-depth knowledge of JCAHO, DOH and MILMC Regulations.
4. Team player, desired staff leader
5. The ability to multi-task
6. An understanding of medical terminology, disease entities and treatment, overall hospital operations, principles of quality management, financial loss risk
7. Strong computer skills

4. Demonstrates leadership qualities.

SALARY/COMPENSATION:

--($70-100k) Negotiable; Commensurate with experience
