Director of Pharmacy
St. Mary's is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy to join our team. The Director is responsible for the planning, implementing, organizing, and evaluating policies, procedures, practices, and services of the Pharmacy Department. The Director ensures the proper control, distribution, purchase and storage of medications and financial reimbursement in accordance with federal, state, and city regulations for St. Mary's and its affiliates.

Requirements:
Registered Pharmacist, licensed in New York State.
Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy required.
Masters Degree in Pharmacy or Business related field.
Three-five year's hospital pharmacy experience required, preferably in a long term care environment.
Formal training or one year's experience in the specialized functions of pharmaceutical activities in a long term care organization.
Knowledge and Abilities
1. Able to support the concept of family-centered care.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development.
3. Able to read, write and speak the English language.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to and communicate with primarily the pediatric population, and to a lesser degree the psychiatric population.
5. Able to work as a member of a team.
6. Able to assess data reflecting the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
