USA Truck, Inc. is a leading, publicly-traded logistics provider offering innovative solutions to a diverse customer base within the United States, Canada, and Mexico. USA Truck, Inc. has 2 operating segments: Asset Truckload with a fleet of 2400+ trucks and SCS (Strategic Capacity Solutions) which includes freight brokerage and intermodal services.
We are currently looking for a Director of Pricing, which would direct and align the efforts of all aspects of the Company's Pricing function across all divisions and service offerings.
Responsibilities:
*Support the strategic direction of USA Truck and ensure that Pricing does its part to execute our freight network. Watch for opportunities outside of our network that can create economic value to us.
*Ensure that the right freight gets into the network and the wrong freight stays out.
*Ensure continuous open dialogue between Pricing, Operations, and Sales.
*Personally participate in and oversee the pricing of bids, quotes and proposals to foster network compliance at the highest rates the market will bear.
*Review and recommend contract and tariff terms, rates and accessorial charges.
Requirements:
*Bachelors or Masters degree
*At least 5 years of relevant work experience
*Ability to negotiate under difficult circumstances
*Assertiveness and strength of character
*Strong oral and written communication skills
*Strong mathematics skills
*Personal leadership and team-building skills
