The Director of Sales position will be located in Boston, MA. It’s a senior position in the company, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Define the go-to-market, sourcing, and research strategies necessary to penetrate and successfully pursue a target audience of senior Human Resources decision makers in large, growing companies.
- Optimize and oversee the sales-generation use of email, telesales, SalesForce, and other customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Manage the existing business development team to identify and generate new leads and introductory presentations
- Manage business development team members (e.g. goal setting, skills development, career progression).
- Maintain a strong participatory role in the development of sales presentations, RFI/RFP responses, discovery meetings, and formal sales meetings
- Screen and evaluate new business opportunities in terms of potential value for the company relative to both direct and indirect costs
- Collaborate with the Executive Vice President of Sales to maintain Seven Step’s library of sales collateral (e.g. proposals, case studies, presentations, competitive/market research, etc.)
- Manage business development and sales production analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in enterprise sales
- 3+ years in selling professional services
- Management experience with goal setting, training, and mentoring sales professionals.
- Experience with or knowledge of the outsourced recruitment (RPO) landscape (e.g. competitive data, existing engagements, supporting vendors, etc.)
- Strong network of professional contacts in the recruiting industry (e.g. Human Resources/Talent Acquisition leaders, centers of influence, and thought leaders)
- Excellent research and market definition skills, written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and accountable business ethic.
- Strong PowerPoint, MOS, SalesForce, and Ariba experience
