Director of Strategy Insights( Job Number: O-Dir-Int-Strategy) Description Summary: The Director of Strategy and Insights role will lead all custom research for Domino's Pizza International and will play a key role with the field marketing, business development and Franchise relations team. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Strategy for International with a dotted line to the VP of Strategy Insights in Build the Brand, this individual is responsible for providing strategic thinking, analytical and tactical support in a broad range of projects critical to the mission of Domino's Pizza International. This includes identifying strategic insights for Domino's Pizza International and for its franchisees around the world and mobilizing to capture opportunities tied to those insights. Key responsibilities would include developing hypotheses, scoping and structuring analysis, obtaining information, identifying insights, and synthesizing and communicating recommendations to diverse stakeholder groups. This qualified individual will have significant qualitative and quantitative experience, outstanding presentation abilities and possess a high comfort level in making presentations to senior leadership and Master Franchisees. Position will be based in Ann Arbor, MI and will involve 30-60% global travel, dependent on specific projects being implemented. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (30%) Business Strategy Collaborate to develop strategic hypotheses about how to improve the DPII business, scope and structure analysis, obtain information, identify insights, and synthesize and communicate recommendations to diverse stakeholder groups. Activate insights to capture value. Develop and drive the Best of Domino's engagement model for Master Franchisees for top priority growth markets (20%) Market Insights Drive ongoing benchmarking of both Domino's Pizza and competitor market share dynamics Monitor and report on industry and consumer data to drive solid business decisions and grow sales Drive optimized research design, management and analysis of DPII and Franchise brand research initiatives Work with franchise and field marketing team to create formal testing protocol and key metrics (30 %) Value Proposition Development Improve customer and occasion segmentation Optimize market-specific menu structures (products, tiers, day parts) Develop pricing strategies that optimize capture of profit pools Work with Franchisees and Domino's Pizza Marketing team to make recommendations on optimizing marketing mix (media, etc.) by market (20 %) Best Practices Development Provide dotted-line leadership to Field Marketing Team members matrixed across regional structure. Facilitate best practice sharing amongst and professional development of team members Implement best practices globally through Field Marketing Team members Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Research (statistics/modeling) or other related field. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years experience in strategic planning, market research, or related field (client and/or vendor side) Consultative approach and skill set, executive presence and communication skills 3-5 years of practical marketing experience in a retail or CPG environment (experience with value proposition development, pricing strategy, product or menu strategy, and customer segmentation are plusses) Demonstrated success in synthesizing consumer insights that resulted in a strategic shift in brand or business strategy Ability to collect/transform statistical data into is easy to understand insights that supports future direction Extensive knowledge of market research fundamentals both qualitative and quantitative in a retail environment Hands on experience in optimizing information/data to make decisions on pricing, media or other business drivers Prior experience in managing a team (preferred)
