IT Technician Job
The Special Projects Division currently has an opening for an IT Technician supporting maintaining computer IT systems, routers, switches, cabling, desktop, hardware, Supporting VSAT System and phones, new office set up and IT systems repairs/updates. Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisition and upgrades. Will participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects. Select candidate should be familiar with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or other military equivalent, familiar with National Industry Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and researching new technology to meet operational needs. To be considered for this position candidates must: - Be willing to relocate to Harrisonburg, Virginia area - Be able to obtain a passport or visa to travel internationally - Be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS - Be willing to work in Hardship and Hazardous locations - Be willing to work long hours and / or non-regular hours with minimal notice - Have a minimum active Secret clearance Qualifications : Requirements: - AS Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience or equivalent 8 years of experience and/or military training BS degree strongly desired - Must have previous experience with maintaining computer IT systems, routers, cabling, desktop, hardware; Supporting VSAT System and phones; new office set up and IT systems repairs and updates; ensuring compliance with accreditation standards; as well as, additional support as needed - Security + certification required, CCNA, MCSE or MCITP preferred.- Experience with network analysis tools a must - Experience with Virtual environments a plus SAIC Overview: SAIC is a FORTUNE 500® scientific, engineering, and technology applications company that uses its deep domain knowledge to solve problems of vital importance to the nation and the world, in national security, energy and the environment, critical infrastructure, and health.
