This position provides guidance and oversight to ensure consistent operations, practices, and policies across the business unit. This Director role is accountable for:
§ The total current number of positions reporting up to this role in this organization: 1343
§ 4 Direct reports, 302 exempt positions, 61 non-exempt positions and 976 Bargaining Unit positions
§ Provide strategy and vision for the Distribution Operations area including business plan development and safety strategy.
§ Responsible for overall succession planning and employee development for the operations organization.
§ Plan, direct and coordinate all distribution construction maintenance, trouble restoration, major system improvements, and service planning and engineering activities to assure the work centers operate efficiently and in accordance with the Company's goals and objectives.
§ Ensure the construction of the distribution facilities meets established standards for construction and maintenance.
§ Ensure adherence to standard design criteria practices and codes in the design of distribution expansion and modification plans.
§ Formulate and recommend enhancements in operating procedures and practices that will provide more efficient customer contact, scheduling, design and construction for major distribution system improvements, new construction projects and system maintenance.
§ Resolve customer related problems, questions and complaints concerning quality and timeliness in the construction, maintenance and repair of company facilities.
§ This position requires creative problem solving and decision making, with an uncompromising focus on what is important, and what is not.

Education:
§ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Electrical Engineering preferred.
§ A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience, 10+ years in Distribution Operations (Construction Maintenance) management.
