JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position reports to the SCLHS Senior Director, Revenue Service Center and is responsible for day to day operations for all patient payment, financial assistance programs, customer service, and extended business office (EBO) and bad debt management functions for the SCLHS Revenue Service Center - supporting all patient billing for SCLHS hospital care sites. This position will assist in the transition plan and direction for centralization of patient business operations for the SCLHS system.

The position will provide leadership and direction to all patient payment processes as well as all charity and financial assistance programs serving patients of SCLHS care sites. Position will also be responsible to leading and delivering a highly service oriented Customer Service function - delivering progressive and meaningful assistance to patients requiring financial assistance. Ability to effectively manage patient financial service operations via managing to identified performance metrics as well as budgetary parameters will be essential. Additionally, this position will manage outsourcing of accounts receivable - including services covered by the extended business office (early out) as well as bad debt outsourcing arrangements and performance.

Strong, positive leadership - with a 'learn and serve' approach providing support and guidance to the team is critical. Additionally the position will require ability to adapt and lead through change as well as to identify and implement innovative changes to provide a high level of performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field desired. Requires thorough knowledge of Acute care collections, Bad Debt Management, FDCPA and Red Flag rules and regulations, Workflow Analysis, Patient accounting processes, Information systems; (5+) years in a Revenue cycle management position; excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, verbal and written communication abilities.
