Director, Platform Operations recruitment

Job Description:

Director of Platform operations in China is a newly formed position within the Enterprise Growth Group.  The role will play a critical role in understanding existing and emerging payment landscape in China and its surrounding regions;  to drive solutions and capabilities using current capabilities and assets as well as drive development for new functionality to fit the market.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop appropriate processing solutions that solve business needs ensuring alignment with organizational goals

oConsult with internal teams and external entities in developing solutions

oImplement most appropriate products and services based on merchant, vendor, or processor requirements

oEnsure solutions are holistic through addressing technical, market, regulatory, operational, and servicing needs

• Coordination across internal and external partners to deliver projects on time and in scope

• Create and implement mechanism to capture ongoing marketplace intelligence

• Conduct independent research and gather marketplace and industry data

• Anticipate and communicate trends to assist in strategic decision making

• Monitor the marketplace and payments landscape

• Use competitive information to position the unique value, features and benefits of products and services

• Build and maintain relationships across the whole organization

• Staying current in a fast-moving and highly regulated environment

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Pre-requisites

• Extensive knowledge within the payments industry within technical, business consulting, operational roles

• Strong understanding of card payments authorizations, submissions, reconciliation, and dispute processes across a range of payment acquiring products and merchant industries

• Worked experience in the card payment space

• Previous experience with the technology and entities involved within the payment life cycle

• Strong consultative sales skills

• Strong relationship building/managerial skills

• Solid written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to articulate complex issues to non-technical persons

• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

• Fluent in Mandarin and English
