The Role
- Reports to the Head of Private Equity
- Broadly responsible for building a high quality globally diversified portfolio of private equity investments
- Key contributor to the setting of Private Equity strategy as well as reviewing investment opportunities and assets across the wider portfolio
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the business' views on a defined sector of global private markets
- Research build enduring relationships with product providers and potential strategic partners
- Identify and validate attractive investment opportunities, undertaking appropriate in-depth due diligence and lead commercial negotiations to ensure risks are managed and return expectations are met
- Oversight of and reporting on specific assets within the portfolio, including Directorships or roles on Advisory Boards
- Participate into the private equity and total private markets portfolio construction process
Skills Experience
- Significant investment experience including substantial hands on experience in a defined sector of private markets, including direct participation in transactions
- Expertise in the analysis of individual private equity style transactions
- An understanding of investment risks across the breadth of capital markets, and an appreciation of 'whole of fund' issues in portfolio construction
- Self-aware, confident nature, able to make well reasoned and robust decisions without perfect information
- Comfortable in a dynamic team-based environment
