Director – Regional FP+A recruitment

As part of expansion/development plans within the region this Global Markets/Investment Banking client has created a new FP+A team to sit between Finance and the Regional Heads of the business. Central to the firm's growth plans is a desire to provide Business Management with a greater amount of financial management information. This will be both retrospectively (reporting) and looking forwards (budgeting, forecasting and decision support) on a regular and ad-hoc basis. The current environment within the firm is very manual and the successful candidate will need to have a track record of delivery in an environment with limited systems and processes. One of the main deliverables for this individual will in turn be the development of a robust reporting framework and budgeting/forecasting process. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the business to understand their informational needs and using that knowledge to customise and tailor the reporting that they will receive. You will also meet with Business Heads regularly in order to provide 'colour' about business performance on a regional basis.

Job Description

- Understand the informational needs and drivers for the Business heads
- Develop the frameworks for Monthly and quarterly reporting for this audience.
- Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders - Business COO, CEO, CFO, Local Finance team, Technology etc
- Regularly present to Senior Business management on the performance of their business
- Handle Ad-hoc queries from the business - providing support for key strategic decisions
- Manage and develop the Business Budgeting and forecasting processes
- Work with IT around the development of technology to support these initiatives
- Manage a small team - 3/4 while will assist in the development of these processes


Requirements

- Accounting Qualification essential
- Minimum 10 years+ Post Qualified experience
- Extensive planning and reporting experience with significant knowledge of Global Markets/Traded Products (including Derivatives)
- Significant Experience within Investment Banking/Global Markets Business
- Proven Track record of developing reporting and planning processes, having delivery in a very manual environment
- Strong Communication skills - written and verbal and able to face off with Senior Business Management
- Previous Management experience
