Junior Institutional Equity Salesperson recruitment
Our client is widely recognized as the premier sell-side investment research firm, annually ranked at the very top of acknowledged arbiters. Our client wishes to recruit a Junior Institutional Equity Salesperson to work closely with its existing salesperson in Singapore. He/She will participate in building a regional presence in Asia. The successful candidate will enter into a Training Program, passing all regulatory examinations within 6 months of joining the firm. Training will likely involve time in London/New York. The candidate will be assigned a senior who will act as a mentor during the training process. Regional travel will be required, as well as some travel to US or London.
Responsibilities
- Market global and Asian research to the firm’s established and prospective customers
- Develop a personal franchise by building strong relationships with clients.
- Coordinate efforts for analysts seeking to establish relationships with their buy-side counterparts.
- Build a good relationship with other members of sales, research and trading staff.
Requirements
- One to three years work experience in a reputable financial institution, not necessarily in Equities.
- Highly motivated and commercially-minded.
- Very solid academic achievement.
- High quality written and spoken English. Asian Language skills would be a definite advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills allowing him/her to evolve in various cultural and professional environments.
- Ability connect the big picture of a sector or an economy to the detailed discussion of an individual company
- Self reliant and able to organize himself/herself.
- Unafraid to work in a "startup" or boutique environment.
