The Business Strategy Group of BNY Mellon Investment Management are actively seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Business Development reporting directly to Senior Director of Strategy for Investment Management.
Key responsibilities for the incumbent will be:
- Manage, mentor and develop Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and other staff. (c.20% of time)
- Lead and manage the identification and evaluation of potential acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, lift-outs and divestitures for BNYM AM world-wide, in alignment with corporate and sector objectives and strategies. (c.10% of time)
- Provide value-added leadership to a wide variety of large, complex business development opportunities.(c.20% of time)
- Provide value-added leadership and analysis to BNYM AM executive management and subsidiary senior management on business strategy development and strategic initiatives.(c.50% of time)
Successful applicants will have:
- Significant experience in a similar role preferably within an asset management and/or mutual funds environment.
- Strong demonstrable track record of program management across large complex projects.
- Analytic and Financial Modeling expertise.
- Comprehensive research abilities.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver complex ideas succinctly to senior management.
- Ability to exercise superior reasoning skills and sound business judgment to influence decision making and effectively interface with executive management
- Staff management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build consensus effectively and efficiently at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail and results-oriented
- Graduate calibre. Ideally MBA, CFA, CPA
