Director, Strategic Design Change – Global Financial Services Firm – Division of FTSE 100
Our client is a division of a listed FTSE 100 financial services firm. It’s a global business, and they are now looking to recruit a Director of Strategic Change. The role will report to the Executive Director of Strategy for the division.
The role will focus on the following:
Design the proposition and operating model
- Operating model design, working across the division and Group
- Building relationships with senior management and executives to validate and approve target proposition and operating model design
- Engage with industry thought leaders and practitioners to deliver a design that is both complaint and enables strategic ambition
Manage strategic and regulatory initiatives
- Own the initiation and development of divisional strategic and regulatory projects and initiatives
- Drive the alignment of strategic priorities and targets with the divisional investment portfolio
- Drive business case development and implementation planning, ensuring appropriate plans are in place to achieve smooth migration to compliance
- Build out the implementation team, ensuring appropriate capabilities and capacity are in place to execute against plans
- Collaborate with Change Management and business colleagues across the division for the successful outcome of strategic projects and initiatives
- Provide Executive reporting and visibility to senior stakeholders on critical programmes, creating fit-for-purpose MI
- Responsible for managing the relationship with a variety of senior stakeholders across the Division and wider Group
- Ensure linkage and interdependencies with other divisional strategic and regulatory programmes are understood and articulated (e.g., RRP, Conduct risk)
Divisional business and risk management support
- Provide practical, objective and expert support and guidance to the business through the proactive identification, assessment, measurement and management of divisional business issues, risks and opportunities
- Support CEO and CFO on risk and compliance issues as required
They are interested in a professional who will have a background as follows:
- Engagement Manager / Senior Engagement Manager level professional from a major management consulting firm
- Strategy/ operational development professional from another financial services firm
- Track record of implementing change throughout an organisation and able to influence at all levels
- An interest in an understanding of taking regulation through to practice
- Great operational strategy and strategic change experience
It could well be suitable for quite a senior management consultant from Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst and Young, Capco, PwC Consulting with 8-12 years experience +.
