Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager of Global Supply Chain, the Director Supply Chain for the Husky Machines business unit leads a large scale global team and plays a critical role in re-architecting and transforming the global supply chain to optimize its overall flexibility and agility.
Highlights of Role
The successful candidate has end to end accountability in the Machines business for global supply chain performance that includes:
- Global supply chain strategies and execution
- Managing global teams (sourcing, expeditng, procurement and supplier quality)
Deliverables in the first 12 months will include:
- Strategy redesign: Participation and steering, revising and deploying strategies to create a more flexible and agile supply chain
- Quality Management: Devising strategies to improve the quality in the supply base
- People Management: Developing and implementing strategies to increase people engagement
- Cost Reduction: Contributing to overall cost savings
Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree
Experience
- Significant grounding in the plastic injection molding industry or similar industrial, heavy machinery business including experience dealing with a large supply base in Asia and Europe
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In depth understanding of a similar type of supply chain, suppliers and market dynamics
- Ability to conceptualize and execute creative strategies and demonstrated success in re-architecting a supply chain
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing across multiple geographies
- Demonstrate relentless pursuit in driving and achieving results
- Excellent communication skills; ability to interface with senior management
- People developer and builds trusted relationships
- Comfortable with global travel
