Our Infrastructure practice, centred within the broader Technology Projects team, focuses on effectively transforming existing technology, people, processes and information system investments into new and improved business capabilities. There are three core service offerings – Data Centre Solutions, IT Service Management and Networking, Convergence, Connectivity Collaboration.
We're currently seeking a Director with a strong Infrastructure Delivery IT operations background to support the growth of our national and regional business to be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
As a leader of key teams, you will manage engagements on behalf of our major clients across areas such as large scale transportation delivery and assurance, IT Strategy Business Case Development Services, Computing Architecture and Design, Infrastructure Architecture Development QA and ITIL and Service Management Design and Implementations to name a few.
Experience Required:
- Industry thought-leader in a senior management role (eg Chief Architect, Chief Technical Officer, Global Program Leader, Technology Director), preferably having a strong global, regional, or local Financial Services sector background.
- Proven expertise taking an account management role in large, complex project engagements
- Leading client-facing business development, engagement delivery, practice development and thought leadership related to IT strategy, architecture, engineering, operations, policy/processes/ standards, organizational design, governance, change management, enabling technology, and program delivery
- Large corporate IT operations, major IT programs and tranformation, systems integration and technical architecture at enterprise and inter-enterprise levels
- Management of day to day operations of the Technology environments across their current or past organisations.
- Accountability for managing all IT capex and opex budgets annually for either a BAU IT operation or change program.
- Promoting the use of technology as a strategic asset
- Ownership of the relationship between Business and Technology stakeholders to ensure the successful support of initiatives across run and change
Key skills/attributes required
- Manage experienced teams who will design, architect and upgrade large complex infrastructures
- Develop strategy; as well as write, communicate, facilitate, and present cogently; to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management
- Deliver engagements within allocated timeframes according to agreed client contracts, including the development of solutions that encourages stakeholder buy-in
- Support the meeting of sales targets and participation in a number of business development / proposal efforts
- Demonstrates proven and extensive abilities to provide quality of technical capabilities and solutions, as well as maintaining technical credibility with clients
- Identify and address client needs
- Willingness and ability to conduct business travel 50% in the role
