Director, West Region Field Sales - California For the last few years, we have been experiencing rapid growth and have seen tremendous adoption of Proofpoint's data protection solutions with medium- and large-sized organizations throughout the world (including 25%+ market share of Fortune 100). These organizations use Proofpoint's powerful security as a service technology to protect their critical email infrastructure from attack and to meet the complex and evolving regulatory compliance and data governance mandates that have been spawned from highly-publicized data breaches. Summary: In this role, you will direct and manage our expanding sales and business development operations in the Western region for all enterprise accounts. In this role, you will leverage your previous success selling security software solutions to meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals. Although this role does not carry and individual quota, our ideal candidate will be a player/coach who is still hungry and tenacious, with an "I will do anything it takes to hit the team quota" type of attitude. Responsibilities: Develop and drive a compelling sales strategy while working with cross-functional teams to establish effective plans to build pipeline, accelerate revenue growth and increase market share of the Fortune 1000 sales organizations based in the Western region Mentor, lead, and grow your team (by recruiting top talent) while spending significant amounts of time in the field with your team Set measurable goals for the team that will result in over-achievement of Quota, while continue to promote a performance-driven culture where all-stars thrive Develop and deliver detailed, accurate, and timely revenue forecasts for the team to the Executive staff Find, qualify and close new revenue growing initiatives within the region Requirements : 10+ year's experience in enterprise software sales with 3+ years managing a Western regional team that carried at least a M quota Must have a successful track record directly selling software security solutions to the largest Enterprises Email security, privacy, and/or Email archiving experience a strong plus Solid experience developing and executing sales plans (including quotas, account objectives, etc.) Outstanding leadership skills that motivate teams to exceed expectations and ensure success in attracting, hiring, and managing top talent Bachelors Degree Travel: Must be willing to travel domestically 50%+ of the time Proofpoint, Inc. helps the largest and most successful companies in the world protect and govern their most sensitive data.
