My client is a leading global proprietary trading firm with a strong presence in New York and Asia. Through continued emphasis on global growth the firm has just began engaging in proprietary trading on the European markets and as of such, is seeking a talented C++ developer to join the growing team in London. You role will include designing and optimization the firm’s low latency/high-throughput trading infrastructure, a cutting edge and powerful system that collects data from all over the world. You will use your excellence in low level C++ programming to develop the systems and build risk-management and performance tracking tools. The role will involve working very closely with quantitative analysts and experienced traders, thus this role is ideally suited to a candidate with strong mathematical ability and a firm interest in the markets.
Responsibilities for PhD Low Latency C++ Developer for Low Latency Trading Team;
• Design and develop the low latency/high throughput trading system (C++/Linux)
• Optimize the system
• Network programming
• Build risk management tools
• Work directly alongside quantitative analysts/traders
• Communicate with the teams in NY and Asia on a daily basis
