We are seeking a Corporate Responsibility Director/Manager to lead and manage the following critical functions within the ITT Exelis Information Systems Division Legal Department: International Trade, Anti-Corruption and Ethics Compliance. In this role, the individual will lead a team of trade, anti-corruption and ethics and compliance professionals from across the division as necessary to accomplish overall organizational objectives. This position will report to the Information Systems (IS) Vice President and General Counsel and will be a director or manager level position based upon the overall experience level of the successful candidate.

KEY ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for leading and continually improving the IS Trade Compliance program. Ensure export/import policies and procedures comply with U. S. export and customs laws and regulations, and are consistent with industry best practices. Provide comprehensive guidance and oversight, as well as advice and counsel on complex international trade issues and export licensing and compliance issues to Senior Management. Oversee the development and implementation of strategic export licensing plans for new business opportunities. Analyze and identify compliance training requirements based on program area unique and specific export/import needs. Develop tailored training programs to ensure continuous awareness of export/import compliance requirements and sector procedures and processes. Support assessments and audits of export/import activities, and facilitate implementation of findings/recommendations.

2. Responsible for leading and continually improving the IS Ethics and Compliance (EC) program. Ensure all EC policies and procedures are consistently deployed throughout IS. Working with ITT Exelis HQ, establish priorities for IS EC programs. Oversee the overall operation of the EC Program in IS. Ensure the IS Ethics and Compliance Review Board ECRB is functioning efficiently and following the corporate policies and processes as required, and all participants are trained appropriately.

3. Responsible for leading and continually improving the IS Anti-Corruption Program. Review planned IS international business and ensure compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”). Ensure the appropriate FCPA training and policies are in place and executed at the IS division level.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

This position requires ten years demonstrated track record of successfully and effectively leading/managing business and/or cross-functional teams in government and/or industry roles. Five years International Trade Compliance experience in government and/or industry roles. Five years Business Operations experience in the Defense Space Industry in government and/or industry roles. BA/BS degree in related discipline, J.D. or other advanced degree preferred. Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.

Successful candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information which requires US Citizenship.
