The Blue Buffalo Company, “Love Them Like Family, Feed Them Like Family”, is looking for a Distributor Sales Manager to introduce and grow its leading edge pet food brands in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area.

Experience working with Distributors and independent pet retailers preferred.

Candidate must currently live in the Dallas/Fort Worth market area.

Candidate Attributes:

Qualified candidate will be positive, self starter, and can convey product ideas and concepts to targeted customers in the territory. Must enjoy the challenging task of bringing new products to the retail market. A love for pets and an interest in small animal nutrition will make this a great opportunity for the right candidate.

Major Responsibilities:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of directly related work experience.


Experience:

Must have a Minimum of 2 years field sales experience within food, convenience, mass merchandise or specialty retailer channels of trade.

Pet specialty retail experience and working with pet product distributors a plus.

The position does require daily travel, 50% overnight travel and some weekend work plus seasonal trade show events.


Skills:

Strong sales, planning and organization, leadership, teamwork skills, and proficient computer skills are required.
