Test Engineer
Purpose and Objectives:
Provide in-house Application Engineering and Software Test Engineering services to support inc.jet hardware and software product development, test, and release efforts.
Essential Job Functions:
Work both independently and with other members of Engineering, Technical Support, and Manufacturing to test and release new system software features and products. Participate in the design, assembly, verification, and maintenance of hardware and software tools for in-house and outside vendor use for test of inc.jet hardware and software. Assist in the design and development of new hardware and software products. Support Manufacturing and Service by responding to requests for information. Generate manuals, release notes, and training materials. Produce and maintain documentation of test plans, procedures and results.
Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skills Requirements:
Ability to diagnose and solve problems related to software, electronic circuitry, and electromechanical equipment. Ability to develop and execute comprehensive software and hardware test plans, evaluate candidate software and hardware for conformance to the test requirements, and fully document the test results. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office and other common computer applications under Windows operating systems.
Experience with C/C++/C# program development in embedded, multithread applications using object oriented software design would be a plus.
LabView programming experience would be a plus.
Familiarity with VC++, MFC, .NET application development would be a plus.
