An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Divisional Accountant to proactively facilitate and provide efficient, meaningful and commercial analysis of management information for our IT managed services client.
Roles Responsibilities
Weekly/Monthly analysis of customer profitability and identification of potential issues
Resolve customer issues with Account teams and relevant BU Divisional Accounts to ensure issues are actioned correctly
Collation and reporting of events affecting the months accounts, which relate to billing made in early periods
Collation and reporting of "open positions" at the end of the month at customer level.
Working with the Commission Analyst to ensure any month-end adjustments are managed correctly and picked up by the commissions team in a timely fashion
Collation of monthly/quarterly forecasts by customer units; ensuring accuracy and timely updating
Production of weekly variance analysis of forecast to actual performance.
Working with Customer Unit Directors/Accounts teams to understand the drivers of the variance and reporting these back to customer Unit Finance Manager
Working with Customer Units to facilitate accurate planning
Involvement with ad hoc Finance projects
Key Requirements
Part qualified, currently studying or looking to study an Accountancy Qualification
Excel to Advanced level
Ability to communicate clearly with non-financial managers on financial issues
Ability to multi-task and prioritise where appropriate
Ensure that pre-defined deadlines are regularly hit
Analyse root cause of issues
Provide clear, concise information to allow others to put actions in to place
