Divisional Head of FP&A

1. Job Purpose

To provide insightful and value added financial analysis and recommendations to support the decision making process. The jobholder is responsible for divisional management reporting and is the Finance lead on new central product initiatives.

2. Key Responsibilities of the Job

Leading and coordinating the annual budget/plan process.

  1. Leading and coordinating the monthly management reporting and forecast processes. This includes providing commentary for board papers and undertaking variance analysis.
  2. Finance lead on new business/product/acquisition initiatives (includes pricing, product structure and oversight of financial control processes required).
  3. Support CEO and Finance Director by providing analytical input and information as required.
  4. Analyse, inform and challenge business performance; includes coordination of quarterly reviews with business unit MD’s.
  5. Coordinate and compiling the annual ICAAP.
  6. Ensure pricing methodology across the division is consistent and appropriate.
  7. Manage central costs.
  8. Act as Finance lead in the annual Remco process.
  9. Key divisional contact point with central functions.

To coordinate investment spend monitoring and control across the division.

Requirements of Role:

  1. Appropriate ‘gravitas’ to deal effectively at Board level and with senior management.
  2. Evidence of taking ownership and adding value in complex and demanding situations.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills; able to influence others and effective at stakeholder management.
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  5. An excellent communicator with an open and direct style.

Education and qualifications :

1. Graduate

2. Qualified Accountant (or overseas equivalent)

3. At least 3 years experience in an FP+ A role ideally
