Description
The position is the direct line of contact with the sell-side community. The successful candidate will negotiate DR fees for both the issuing and cancelling of DRs as well as pre-release, assist the street with the understanding of Corporate Actions, monitor the market to adjust pricing accordingly as well as build a good understanding of DR trading strategies. Sell side individuals will act as a relationship manager to the sell side constituency, extend the groups contact network and provide market intelligence and insight for members of the DR staff and issuer clients. Candidates would also be expected to deal directly with and understand market infrastructure (CSDs, Exchanges, Regulators and Regulation). Incumbents are expected to conceive new and / or better ways to generate revenues and planning, developing and execution of projects.
Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent is required. Minimum of 5+ years work experience in a related field including previous DR experience is highly desirable but not essential. 3 - 5 years experience in Securities Lending, Equity and / or Debt Settlements, Corporate Actions or any other trading environment is required. Knowledge of Options, Futures and / or Commodities will also be valued. Experience of interaction with brokers, traders, settlement desks, investors and analysts would also be considered a highly valued skill set. Good presentation skills will also be required. Proven ability to multi-task essential. Project Management Skills are strongly preferred. Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Strong analytical, interpersonal communication skills are essential. Approved Person under the FSA rules is necessary. Training will be provided.
