Driver Technician

Oxford Depot

Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week - with paid call out and associated call out allowance

As a Driver Technician, you will be responsible for the delivery, collection, installation and repairing of healthcare community equipment into service users' homes across the Oxford area. Your base of work will be the Oxford Depot

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Deliveries - Responsible for carrying out the delivery of community equipment. These must be carried out is accordance with Millbrook procedures. Required to deliver collected Items to other sites for decontamination. Also required to pick Items up once cleaned.
  2. Collections - Responsible for the collection of community equipment. These must be carried out is accordance with Millbrook procedures.
  3. Repairs - Responsible for carrying out repairs when required to do so.
  4. Installation - Responsible for carrying out Installations of equipment. Must carry out Installations in line with Millbrook procedures.
  5. Call out - Responsible for responding to emergency call outs as required.
  6. Vans - Responsible for your Vehicle. Must ensure that regular maintenance checks are carried out. Responsible for the cleanliness of both the inside and outside of the Van. Responsible for logging down mileage travelled each week.
  7. Diesel - Responsible for logging down all diesel used each week. Must ensure that all receipts are kept and reported on to the Supervisor.
  8. Tooling - Responsible for your tools. You must take responsibility for any tools lost or damage. Any problems must be reported to the Supervisor.
  9. Administration - Responsible for all paperwork issued to you. Must carry out paperwork within the Millbrook procedures/guidelines.
  10. Communication - Responsible for communicating any problems to the supervisor.
  11. Stocktake - to assist with annual and interim stocktakes as required.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Good DIY experience
- Delivery experience
- A full driving licence

The ideal candidate will also possess excellent customer service skills and good knowledge of the Oxford area.The successful candidate will be expected to undergo a CRB check.
