DS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (RBC) The Dealer Services Business Development Manager is responsible for the overall sales activity within the Regional Business Center (RBC). Builds and maintains new and existing dealer relationships for both franchised and independent dealerships. Manage Business Development Representatives and work with the Divisional Sales Managers to define and enforce standardized Wells Fargo Dealer Services sales and marketing practices. Additional responsibilities include ownership of processes within the territory that support the RBC and corporate objectives. Performs field calls to dealers in conjunction with and independent of their Business Development Representatives as needed to ensure that our associates are handling relations in accordance with Wells Fargo Dealer Services policy and procedures. Continually analyzes and evaluates the competition s programs including strengths and weaknesses; shares information with RBC staff to help increase Wells Fargo Dealer Services market share; emphasizes our full spectrum-lending program, including after market products. Continually analyzes and evaluates the achievement of planned goals; including volume, conversions, mix, charge offs, expense and delinquency targets. Teams with Credit Manager, Operation Manager, Analysts and Business Development Representatives on business development and relationship management while evaluating work flow to implement best practices according to corporate standards. Maintains and reviews all dealer files including: delinquent dealer reserve, curing/terminating non-performing dealer relations. Manages the day-to-day activities of all business development representatives within their designated region. Trains Business Development Representatives on sales techniques used in selling our products and services to develop mutually beneficial relationships while thoroughly explaining up-to-date information about Wells Fargo Dealer Services. Upholds all Wells Fargo Dealer Services core values while conducting regular performance reviews, developing succession plans to safe guard against a change in personnel Hires, trains, rewards and focuses on associate succession planning and team development. Prepares development plans and administers coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations as needed. Effectively communicates corporate and department objectives on a regular basis. Motivates and creates a positive working environment to achieve productivity and performance standards. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years management experience. Minimum Qualifications: Previous auto finance experience. Previous sales experience. Must have 5+ years sales experience. Must have auto finance/lending sales background. Must be service oriented and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with all levels of management. Must have effective negotiation skills. Demonstrate the ability to coach and mentor. Computer skills: MS Office Suite, PC, Blackberry, etc. Must be will to travel: 75+% within assigned territories; 25% or less nationwide. Preferred Skills: Bachelor's Degree. After market product experience. Indirect auto lending experience with a large financial institution. Wells Fargo Dealer Services sales management and business development territory experience.
