Due Diligence Officer recruitment
As the Due Diligence Officer (DDO) at UBS, you will work as a gatekeeper in preventing money laundering, corruption and the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) for the bank. The position reports directly to the Head of AML.
The scope of the role includes but is not limited to:
- Performing due diligence on prospective client relationships
- Preparing monthly dashboard for management reporting
- Initiating and sample check on periodic KYC review of existing client relationships.
- Supporting UBS Trustees Singapore in the AML/CFT control function
- Supporting Regional PEP Unit in PEP reviews and maintenance of PEP register
- Provision of advice and guidance to the Business and Support functions with respect to client due diligence queries, AML /CFT matters, relevant internal policies and local laws.
- Assisting team members in diverse tasks including inspection and internal/external audits on the AML/CFT function.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments in prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing activities.
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- Degree holder with 2-5 years of experience, either with a regulator or with a financial institution.
- Prior experience in a compliance, regulatory or audit experience in the area of Anti-money Laundering pertaining to private banking or wealth management would be highly preferred.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Attention to detail and strong research capability.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to deal with potentially contentious issues effectively.
- Languages: English (essential), Any foreign language (desirable).
- Knowledge of various legal entities and fund structure set ups.
- Sound knowledge of AML/CFT laws and guidelines
- Strong analytical writing skills required; strong oral communications skills required.
