Dutch Private Equity fund seeks Tier 1 Analyst recruitment
Our Client
Our client is an independent private equity firm specialising in the Benelux and European markets. The firm has a generalist sector focus and prides itself on being an active investor in the small-middle cap space adding value into portfolio companies in the financial, strategic and operational sense. With its well established offices in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany it is extremely well grounded in the Benelux with a focus on cross-border transactions.
The firm has a hands-on in its approach to investment and continued work with portfolio companies and therefore doesn’t outsource much of its workload to third party consultants or advisors. Juniors within the team have maximum exposure to the wider aspects of deals. A key focus of the firm is liaising extremely closely with its investments and takes a key interest in reforming the operational and strategic issues.
The firm is looking to be extremely busy into next year and so are looking to expand in size across both the Netherlands and the wider Benelux at the junior level.
Performance Expectations
The investment approach of the team is very top-down and hands on. So the ideal fit would be a candidate who has the analytical mind set and attention to detail needed in identifying attractive markets and the interpersonal/ communication skills essential in working with the current portfolio.
The Role
- Researching markets and industries to identify winning business models across markets that may lead to investment opportunities
- Assisting in modelling, valuation and structuring of investments
- Ensure that the research process is consistently applied at due diligence processes
- Follow up on the portfolio companies, assist with realization of acquisitions and buy build strategies from investment until exit
Professional Background
- Holds a Master degree in Business Administration, Business Economics or Finance
- Excellent analytical and intellectual skills
- Has good interpersonal and communication skills, self-starting and driven
- Possesses absolute written and verbal fluency in Dutch and English
- Has 0-3 years experience in Investment Banking or Strategy Consulting
