Economic Capital Lead Business Analyst
Key responsibilities include:
The Lead BA will work closely with the user community in London to identify requirements, solutions and agree high-level project phasing and, further, the Lead BA will work with the existing technical teams in India and Stirling.
In addition, there will be an initiative to globalise some of the regional functions and the Lead BA will be instrumental in the detailed definition of this work.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
1. Capture current and planned analytical processes which are used to support event-based and macro-economic capital calculations
2. Handling any ad-hoc change requests and new functionality requests from the user community and liaising with the appropriate development teams
In addition, you will represent IT on various steering committees and working Groups.
3. Support the design of new business and technical processes to be implemented in a global Economic Capital (business) Utility, including processes relating to and supporting:
• Sourcing and validation of data to be used in EC calculations:
o Analytical forecasting and model execution,
o MI generation and reporting,
o Governance administration functions.
• The development of a rigorous IT development process by:
o Capturing business requirements,
o Supporting software development teams in converting business requirements into technical specifications,
o Providing input into the testing processes
o Tracking and reporting progress to the business
• Analyse the existing Group Economic Capital business and IT processes with a view to identifying any synergies between GEC and Stress Testing
Essential Experience:
Good data analysis and data requirements skills
Detailed experience (2 yrs plus) in an Economic Capital calculation business/IT environment
Good systems analysis experience, especially relating to running vendor-based solutions.
Some PM experience.
Knowledge of Economic Capital calculations and associated data requirements
Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) - comfortable with detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage own time
Capable of drilling down into the detail of issues that may have not occurred previously
Ability to work on own or as part of a team
