Economic Capital Manager recruitment

A new and challenging role has been created in UK Retail, for an Economic Capital Manager to design and develop divisional reporting of Economic Capital (EC).  The EC project is a crucial component of the One Risk program, and this is a great opportunity to get involved in a pan-risk role covering a range of risk areas including operational risk, credit risk, and more.  You will also assist in influencing the use of Economic Capital in pricing, profitability, and finance.

You will support of the development of a robust EC metric for UK Retail, with particular focus on design and implementation of a divisional EC model and reporting suite.  The infrastructure developed should meet the needs of the division and, over time, help embed EC as a tool in UK Retail decision making.  Throughout, keeping the UK Retail working group informed of progress and engaged in key decisions.

To be successful in this role you will need to have an analytical and enquiring mindset with the ability to develop a range of options and to present them in a engaging way to facilitate discussion. You will also have strong mathematical and financial understanding with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines. Experience in data extraction and manipulation is required along with good influencing skills.
