Electrical Design Engineer Job in Alpharetta 30004, Georgia Us
IMMEDIATE NEED: Contract to hire position for a Entry Level ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER with experience in design, layout and specifying equipment for electrical systems Must be able to travel in support of projects. No per diem or relocation is available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating one-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams and loop diagrams
- Will create cable schedules, conduit layouts and details from engineering sketches and/or customer specifications
- Responsible for review and applying client and industry codes and standards
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing hazardous area classification drawings
- Will perform voltage drop calculations, conduit fill calculations and grounding requirements per NEC
- Will apply NEC code, NFPA, ArcFlash and other industry standards
Requirements
- Must have at least a BSEE from an accredited university
- Must have 2+ years of Electrical design experience
- Must be willing to travel as required in support of projects and customers
- Experience with MS Project and MS Office software to generate reports and schedules
- Must have a solid practical and theoretical background in electricity
- Must have strong technical skills and be detail oriented
- Must be action oriented, with ethical values and have a strong 360 support focus and be able to work independently and under direction of others

Questions you will be asked:
• Do you have at least a BSEE from an accredited university? How many years Electrical design experience?
• Do you have experience with AC and DC power and controls circuits? Have you ever programmed PLCs, HMIs or used SCADA software? What kind?
• How do you rate your ability to set goals and obtain them? How would you rate your practical technical electrical abilities? Describe your ability to review and apply client and industry codes and standards.
• Describe your experience creating one-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams and loop diagrams. Describe your experience creating cable schedules, conduit layouts and details from engineering sketches.
