Electrical / Embedded Software Engineer
As our Electrical / Embedded Software Engineer of EV-Charging you work on continuously innovating our Electrical Vehicle charging solutions. You are the right hand of our CTO and founder. And you have your own vision on how our solution should integrate with the newest business and consumer innovations. If you would love to join the electric transportation revolution, keep reading!
Should we integrate with Google Nest? What opportunities does Apple Homekit bring us? What other Domotica solutions will be big and could give our product a competitive edge? Will Apple Pay be the standard to use with our charging solutions for electrical vehicles? What solutions can we build that turns the Electrical Car in a Tesla Powerwall? How can we dynamically charge the car with solar energy? What big data opportunities can you come up with combining charging station, electric cars and smart grid data? What other ideas do you have to improve user experience, and create value for our end users?
You know how to design and build this into our embedded controller, which is part of our charging station. You work closely with the Software Architect and CTO to bring these innovations to reality. You responsibilities will include:
- Embedded controller design
- Design and implement embedded software from requirements to production and commercial deployment
- Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
- Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
- Optimise I/O performance
- Interface with software design and development
Main requirements
- 1-5 years of experience in embedded engineering
- BSc./MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering (Elektrotechniek) [subafdeling]
- Background in or passion for domotics, automotive and/or energy
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems
- Solid programming experience in C or C++
- Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
