Electrical Engineer
A well established company, based in Switzerland, is looking for a Power Electronics Test Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience in testing power electronics, to be part of a new start-up division in the USA based out of Atlanta, GA. You will help lead the efforts to launch their power inverter products in the US market. The ideal candidate has experience working with new inverter and/or converter designs within the power generation industry. This is a great opportunity to work with state of the art technology, products and a well established company.
Responsibilities
- Build up and maintain test infrastructure
- Testing of PV inverters Hardware and Firmware
- Perform design test for new or changed HW (components, inverter and accessory) for US Firmware/embedded software for the inverters
- Perform efficiency measurement, functional, thermal tests
- Product and Test documentation (Test Cases, Service Instructions, Assembly and Test procedures for Production)
- Set-up and monitoring of field trials
- Evaluation and maintenance of the test infrastructure
- Development of test automation
- Support production test, monitoring and analysis of quality and production test data
- Build up prototypes assemble test systems
Requirements
- 5-10+ years of experience in testing power electronics
- BSEE or MSEE
- Expert in quality procedures and quality systems
- Must have solid experience with LabView
- You must have excellent verbal written communication skills as you will be communicating regularly with the Engineering and RD team in Switzerland
- Any experience with PV inverters or drives would be a PLUS
