Description:
Volt has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer.
The candidate will contribute to the Energy Storage Group whose purpose is to deliver advanced battery systems needed to meet vehicle requirements.
- Manage battery suppliers through the design, development, and production process.
- Establish Sub-System Technical Specifications for vehicle application needs.
- Complete automotive requirements related to the advanced battery systems including: Analysis Design Validation Plan and Report (ADVPR), Design Failure Modes Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Perform and manage testing at cell, pack, and vehicle levels either at the supplier, 3rd party vendor, or in-house.
- Inform company on the state-of-the-art in battery technology for current and future programs.
- Evaluate battery and pack manufactures.
- Monitor product performance and customer inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction, needs and expectations are being met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, experience with advanced automotive batteries and vehicle system integration
- Successful track record as an Electrical Engineer
Preferred:
- Master's of Science in Engineering.
- Expertise in lithium ion batteries in hybrid vehicle applications.
