Electrical/ Firmware Engineer

Primary Responsibility: This engineering position will provide technical expertise in the design and development of Camera/Monitor systems focused on overall system development including a specific emphasis on developing digital image processing platforms and applications. The individual will be part of a small engineering team and will be involved in all aspects of the product design life cycle - including system architecture, circuit design, algorithm development and, system validation. Ability to work and communicate well in a small team environment is a must.
In this position the candidate will design and implement hardware and software for embedded processors to complement the hardware for cost conscious solutions in vehicle safety systems. A strong background in image processing hardware and algorithm development and implementation is required.
Education/Experience: BSEE required, MSEE preferred with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in image/camera system design, circuit design, image processing algorithms, optics, and applicable knowledge and experience with manufacturing and testing techniques for vision based systems.
Candidate should have experience in firmware development using C/C++ and assembly languages, circuit design with embedded 16/32 bit processors, and implementation of image processing techniques in FPGAs.
