We are currently partnering with a Medical Device Company in Carmel Mountain, CA, seeking an Electrical Engineer for their R D Catheter Group Responsible for electronic systems design/development and integration for next generation technologies. Please read job description CAREFULLY and ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE BELOW CRITERIA. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - BSEE required. MS preferred, electrical or biomedical -High frequency analog design KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: - 5+ years experience in design, development and testing of high speed (200MHz) mixed signal electronics, especially optoelectronic systems, in a regulated environment - Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other lab equipment to test and debug digital and mixed-signal designs involving multiple PCBs and subassemblies - Creating detailed design documentation (specifications, design descriptions, verification and testing plans) - Experience with EMC, ESD, and signal integrity testing to international standards - Experience using ECO release process and document management/PLM system JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conceptualize, design, develop and sustain high speed mixed signal data acquisition and embedded electronics. Maintain an engineering lab notebook in order to document and work towards protecting company intellectual property. Interact with cross-functional team to refine requirements and designs. - Specify and qualify appropriate components, equipment, and design tools based on documented analysis of design specifications, costs, availability and reliability. Integrate into new and existing designs. Perform testing and debugging of designs and maintain test documentation. Generate and release design documentation per production development procedures. - Generate and conduct formal verification and validation plans for completed designs, interacting with Quality and Regulatory staff. Actively participates in the transfer of products from RD into manufacturing. - Support next generation catheter designs development and interface between hardware, software, and catheter design components. - Provide regular updates and project status to functional manager and/or project team manager. Conduct technical design reviews with the project team and independent subject matter experts across the company. - As necessary, performs other duties as required.
