We are now seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join this leading Independent Connections Provider which delivers a flexible and rapid response service to a variety of utility connection requirements. With expertise across a wide range of sectors, they deliver a turnkey solution, from initial enquiry through design, construction and the final adoption of the network by the Distribution Network Operator (DNO).

As the Electrical Project Manager you will manage all aspects of the construction, installation commissioning of New Electricity Contestable Connections up to and including 33kV. Reporting to the Head of Construction, you will be responsible for delivering Contestable Connections for the company on time and within budget. You will maintain financial control of projects throughout using correct company procedures and work within their Policies and Procedures. You will promote and demonstrate a culture of Health Safety Quality at all time as well as manage Project related Health Safety. You will prepare site instruction; manage Project Related Finances including variations and carry out Site Safety Audits as required. You will also ensure all works are carried out to company/ DNO / iDNO specifications. You will be expected to keep up to date on current legislation regulations. All works in the Public Highway are to be carried out in liaison with the local authority, NRSWA and to current HAUC Specification. As part of your role you will also ensure that all relevant Safety, Construction specifications and technical data are available. You will liaise with other staff / clients to ensure that all targets and key milestones are met. You will need to hold all current relevant authorisations and certification related to Project Management as per the company's policy. You will also specify order and control project materials.

In order to succeed in this role, you should have an HNC in an electrical related discipline as well as NRSWA supervisors qualification. You should also have a IOSH certificate in managing Health and Safety and experience of basic first aid and manual handling ideally. You will also require an ECS qualification or equivalent. Previous DNO authorisations for Access, switching and SAP duties would be advantageous.

You will also require a good level of experience managing new electricity connections to residential, industrial/commercial properties and an in depth knowledge of HV/LV cable laying, switchgear installation, cable jointing and commissioning. You will manage direct staff or contractors to carry out excavation and reinstatement in the public highway, as well as manage and audit site based staff.
