PSI Repair has an opening for a senior-level Electronic Engineer. The Electronic Engineer is responsible for the development, creation and testing of electronic devices throughout the production phase from conception through prototype testing. This includes advanced circuit design and troubleshooting, including firmware.
Responsibilities include:
- Discussing proposals with clients
- Working with colleagues to design new systems, circuits and devices or develop existing technologies
- Testing theoretical designs
- Writing specifications and technical reports
- Following defined development processes
- Systematically improving the detailed design of specified electronic equipment
- Ensuring that a product will work with devices developed by others, can be made again reliably, and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
- Creating user-friendly interfaces
- Attending meetings with co-workers and sub-contractors
- Keeping up-to-date with developments in technologies and regulations
Required Job Skills Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer or Electronics Engineering; Masters preferred
- 3+ years C++ programming experience
- 3+ years circuit board design experience
- Proven 1-2 years experience in reverse engineering and Labview programming
- Demonstrable design experience with MicroProcessors, DSP, and FPGA programming and structure, and USB, RS232 and RS422 interfaces
