This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Tools Interface Technical Specialist position located in Columbus IN. Key Responsibilities: The Electronic Tool Interface Technical Specialist will work within the Electronic Tool Interface team leading special projects supporting application teams, Cummins subsystems groups (e.g. fuel systems, air handling and combustion control, aftertreatment, datalinks, operating system, etc), OEMs, suppliers, industry groups and other electronic architects (component, subsystem, system) to define interfaces and interface architectures for all Cummins world-wide electronic products. This will include the following tasks: - Create, revise, release and maintain Cummins engineering standards related to the electronic tool interface. - Lead the creation and revision of ESW (engineering standard work) related to the electronic tool interface. - Lead efforts to analyze industry and customer electronic tool interface requirements relative to Cummins requirements. - Lead electronic tool interface development projects. - Lead electronic tool interface related infrastructure projects - Lead electronic interface related discussions with customers and suppliers - Develop and maintain expertise relative to the electronic tool interface - Develop and maintain expertise with tools that use the electronic tool interface Skills: TECHNICAL SKILLS: - Strong written and verbal communication - Servicing and maintaining controls, hardware, or software - Troubleshooting controls, hardware, or software issues - Verifying and validating controls, hardware, or software - Analyzing and simulating electronic capabilities TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: - Diagnostic Interfaces such as UDS, KWP, J1939, ODX, etc - Engineering Interfaces such as CCP, XCP, A2L - Electronic Tools such as DTS 7, CANape, INCA, ATI Vision, CANoe, etc - Datalinks and communication networks - Machine electronics interfaces - Embedded software - Electronic devices - Electronic control modules and related micro controller architectures - Diagnostics and OBD n...
