Emergency Dispatcher - Part Time
Part-time Emergency Communications Dispatcher needed for the City of Mentor. Responsibilities include processing emergency calls from the public, determining priorities, and dispatching emergency units. Work entails exercising judgment in coordinating responses to situations which may affect the lives and safety of the public, police and fire personnel. Work relies heavily on the use of complex computer and technical equipment. Advanced multitasking skills are a must. Must be available to work rotating shifts and some weekends/holidays: High school graduation or GED. Prior emergency dispatch and computer experience preferred. Pay range: $13.72 (min.) - $18.93 (max.) per hr. Successful candidate may be compensated above the minimum hourly pay rate depending upon qualifications.
