The opportunity exists for an experienced individual within Emerging Leader Sales to join our Sydney based Equities Sales team.

Key responsibilities
- be an expert in products/area of expertise; collaborate with clients, product group experts, traders and other salespeople to channel client feedback and two-way sharing of information, to optimise Macquarie's ability to meet the needs of clients.
- provide first class client service, with responsibility for supporting all aspects of each client's specific needs, with the goal of making Macquarie the firm of Choice with which to do business
- introduce develop and maintain client relationships by understanding their specific needs, which may include goals and objectives, risk tolerance and expectations.
- keep abreast of market developments and products, and integrating understanding of markets, events and research views into actionable ideas and recommendations for clients.
About you
To be successful, you will ideally be experienced within Australian Equity Sales. You will be strategic, pragmatic, have a hands-on approach and a strong commercial sense. You will also have:
- strong academic background, combined with excellent interpersonal skills
- a stable and progressive work history ideally gained from within Australian institutional equity sales
- highly developed sales, persuasion and negotiation skills with strong client relationships.
- outstanding verbal and written communications skills and be able to build strong business partnerships at all levels
- a flexible, pro-active work approach as well as high levels of attention to detail
- excellent product knowledge and the ability to interpret research, offerings, and services, and have a clear understanding of the style and needs of each client.
- excellent communication skills, self-confidence with the ability to deal with both internal and external stakeholders
- have exposure to the Australian equity markets.
- enjoy a fast paced environment and have the ability to make quick decisions
