Emerging Markets Credit Analyst AVP / VP - Traditional Fund Manager - Singapore, Asia
One of the leading names in Fixed Income investing is looking to add a senior analyst (AVP / VP level) to their team. The fund is a Singapore based fund with an excellent reputation and track record. They will look to relocate candidates to Singapore.
The firm have a huge Asian presence therefore will be able to offer you excellent training and exposure in addition to flexibility on all mandates and broad industry coverage encompassing a number of sectors across Latam, CEEMA and Asia.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist Senior Portfolio Manager of emerging market corporates in evaluating emerging market corporate bonds for EM portfolios.
- Perform in-depth credit analysis of emerging market corporate bond credits, with the primary focus on Latam, CEEMA, and Asia with the goal of recommending credits for investment purposes both on an absolute and relative return basis;
- Analyze bond indentures for protection provided by the respective covenants and assess and review the risk factors;
- Working as a Buy side analyst focused on generating proprietary investment ideas in the Asian corporate bond markets.
- Ability to work closely with the two portfolio managers in an open and collaborative environment
- Responsible for ongoing research coverage of credits, with the primary focus on CEEMEA corporates, which are held in the EM portfolios;
- Make periodic company and region visits and produce regular call/summary reports;
- Generate relative value recommendations on issuers under research coverage;
- Undertake credit write-ups for relevant industry reviews, investment committees etc as necessary;
- Coordinate closely with the emerging markets sovereign analyst group;
- Coordinate with analysts and portfolio managers in the high yield and investment grade research groups;
- Proactive involvement in client service. Such service to include periodic meetings, conference calls and reports where necessary
- Responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, executing and monitoring investments.
