Emerging Markets Fixed Income Sales – Geneva, London, New York recruitment

The client: An independently-held fixed income house specialising in the sales, trading and portfolio management of emerging market and high yield credit products. The firm has been active for more than 15 years - surviving two major financial crises with its balance sheet intact - and trades with institutional investors in Europe, Asia and the Americas from offices in Amsterdam, Almaty, Moscow, New York and Singapore.

The mandate  To contribute to the expansion of the firm’s footprint by introducing new institutional investors and improving coverage of existing clients in Central Western Europe and in North America. To collaborate with sales, trading and research colleagues in different offices to facilitate trading flows across regions. The firm trebled its trading volumes to $5bn last year and is looking to maintain its strong growth trajectory into 2013 and beyond.

This will be an entrepreneurial role requiring an individual who possesses:

• Several years’ sales, trading or sales-trading experience.

• Strong relationships with the relevant institutional investors

• In depth understanding of emerging market and high yield products particularly government, municipal, corporate bonds and commercial paper, including derivatives and distressed debt

• A demonstrable track record of consistent production trading these products with the relevant client base

• An understanding of the macro and micro variables that influence price movements for these products

• The ability to generate trading ideas based on feedback from colleagues (including research) and clients

• A self-starter with a “can do and will do” attitude

• The appropriate professional certification and/or licensing
