Emerging Markets Rates Trader
My client is a leading Global Investment Bank looking to add an Emerging Market Interest Rates trader to their FIC team in New York.
The candidate must have a proven track record of generating strong PNL figures from market making across the LATAM markets. The candidate must be comfortable managing and taking own risk and will have been market making these products in a previous role on the sell side for a approximately 4yrs.
Responsibilities:
- Execute trades, managing own risk - primarily in emerging markets and specifically LATAM interest rates.
- Update colleagues and clients on market developments and price levels.
- Generate trade ideas and discuss market colour with the desk.
- Reach out to new client base to cultivate customer relationships for direct business, as well as price competitively for corporate and institutional clients.
- Build pricing models to facilitate efficient and accurate pricing for clients.
Skills / Attributes required:
- Approximately 4 years experience market-making, primarily in LATAM Interest Rates with a strong PNL track record.
- Strong trading discipline and deep technical fundamental knowledge of local markets and local regulations allowing for decent trade idea generation, and valuable exchange of information with sales force clients.
- Experienced using standard pricing tools: Bloomberg etc.
