Emerging Markets: Structured Credit Product Control – Assistant Vice President recruitment

Product Control has a critical role within the organisation. There is a close working relationship with the trading desks and other areas focusing on control, service and reporting. We are a central point of contact for many issues that affect the bank including new product approval, model validation and independent verification of derivative valuations. By placing a heavy emphasis on information technology and focusing on project work we are able to address control and operational risks and meet our internal and external obligations

The Emerging Markets business is broadly split into Rates (interest rate and foreign exchange products) and Credit (credit derivatives and financing products) and also split geographically (Latin America, Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa (“EEMEA”) and Asia Pacific). The EEMEA Credit business is centred in London, and covers a very wide spectrum of products ranging from vanilla corporate bonds through to exotics/hybrid products.

The role is Assistant Vice President in the EEMEA Credit Structured team running the PnL team of four. A sister team, EEMEA Credit Structured Middle Office runs in parallel with this team.

Skills / Experience required:  

• Numerical degree (2.1 or above) or equivalent.

• Accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

• Previous exposure to derivative products within a Product Control environment, including Credit derivatives

• Proven track record of process enhancement and improvement

• Experience of dealing with demanding clients

• Previous banking experience in a front office facing role

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong communication skills

• Strong control knowledge

• Good understanding and appreciation of financial markets
